Guide to completing Rainbow Campaign on-chain tasks by Bifrost & Mangata Finance

AirLyft is thrilled to announce that Bifrost Finance has launched its Rainbow Boost 5.0 campaign in collaboration with Mangata Finance at AirLyft. For users who are new to Bifrost Finance, it is a web3 derivatives protocol that provides decentralized cross-chain liquidity for staked assets.

Giveaway Background

Bifrost, a parachain active on Polkadot and Kusama, just launched its 5th round of the Rainbow Boost, an online event where users are incentivized to mint vTokens, liquid staking derivatives offered by Bifrost Finance. Their team decided to partner with AirLyft and award extra prizes in BNC to those who complete on-chain and off-chain tasks.

Firstly, to participate in the campaign, please click on the link here which will take you to the AirLyft app where the Rainbow Boost campaign is hosted. Once on the campaign page, you can see the Rainbow campaign banner followed by the event details. You can also read about the incentives and on-chain rewards attached to the Rainbow Boost Campaign here which has been written by the Bifrost team. It is strongly advised that users read the event description before participating in order to get a clearer understanding of the campaign.

Participation

Let’s take an in-depth look at how to participate in the campaign and increase your chances of getting selected. Please note that all the tasks are optional, however, the Bifrost team focuses on the maximum entries received, and these entries are only achieved upon campaign task completion.

• The very first task of the campaign is to log in at AirLyft so that you can participate in the campaign. On the top right corner, you can see the button “Login To Participate”.

Once clicked, you will find three options (2 in case of mobile participation) which are to log in via Metamask, log in via email or Passwordless login, or log in via Twitter. Please select your appropriate login method and continue with the campaign participation.

• Once you have logged in, the first task is for you to connect your wallet for the reward distribution. Click on the task after which, you will find options to select between three wallets which are PolkadotJs wallet, Parallel, or Talisman Wallet that support the Polkadot ecosystem. If you don’t have the wallets, please download the polkadotjs extension or Talisman extension from the chrome browser for seamless participation.

Next, after your account is created on the Talisman wallet or the PolkadotJs wallet (link embedded), click on Fetch Accounts and your created account will be fetched that you can use without any issues.

• The next task in the campaign is to answer a quiz question. This quiz contains 7 questions and it is highly recommended that participants check for clues in the task description provided within the Quiz Task.

Once checked, answer the questions, click on Submit Answer and move to the next question. You can skip and complete the quiz anytime.

• Now, comes the on-chain minting vKSM task in which, you will have to follow the steps mentioned below.
  - Visit Bifrost vStaking Page
  - Mint any amount of vTokens
  - Verify the action on AirLyft

Based on the steps provided, if you have KSM available on your selected wallet, then you can directly go ahead and mint the KSM to receive vKSM on the Bifrost Finance app. However, for new users, if you don’t have any KSM available, please go to any exchange such as Binance, or Kucoin and get KSM based on how much you would want to mint.

Please be informed that you can mint any amount of vKSM and there is no restriction on it.

Once you have bought the required KSM that you would like to mint, you would need to send the KSM on the Kusama network to your polkadot wallet (the talisman or polkadotjs account created in the earlier step).

After the transaction is successful, the next step is to visit the link that was provided in the event description and then first cross-in the KSM so that KSM can be moved from Kusama Relaychain to Bifrost Network. After the cross-in has been done, enter the amount of KSM that you need to mint and get based on the value, vKSM will be populated. Finally, click on the mint button to complete the transaction.

• The next task is for you to mint vDOT, vGLMR, vBNC, vMOVR. Please follow the exact same thing we did for vKSM and be double-sure of the network on which you are transferring the token. For instance, the DOT token will be transferred only over the DOT network and then it has to be cross-in from DOT to Bifrost Chain as shown earlier. Also, please check the task description by clicking on each of the tasks and visiting the Bifrost staking page link for that token directly. • The next is for you to “Follow Bifrost Polkaverse Space”. Click on Visit & Follow the space button available on the task after which you have to click on follow as shown in the screenshot below.

Once followed, please head back to AirLyft and click on the verify button for AirLyft to check on-chain if the connected wallet address actually follows Bifrost on Polkaverse or not.
